Hot glue melting point

Melting point

The melting point of a hot melt adhesive is the point where a steel ball cannot be carried anymore by a hot melt film. The melting point, or melting behaviour, may be an indication of:

  • The minimal tank temperature
  • The maximal heat resistance
  • The chemical composition

The melting point is not a value for:

  • Melt flow index
  • Heat resistance
  • Application temperature
