Ethylene Vinyl Acetate Copolymer

Intercol is able to make and develop blends with Ethylene Vinyl Acetate Copolymer solutions.

If you are searching for specific requirements in adhesive or coatings, our laboratory may find the solution according to customer specific needs.

PVAc copolymer at Intercol are mostly adhesives used in packaging, textile-processing and manufacturing, bookbinding, bonding or coating plastic films, heat seals, or to bond metal surfaces, or precoated paper. EVA/PVAc are available as dispersible powders and in waterbased, solvent free fluids. These polymers are also used in plasters and cement renders. EVA films are mostly flexible, homopolymers are not, but can me made flexible with (food approved) plasticizers,

Intercol is able to adapt ethylene vinyl acetate properties, mainly in fluid state, by adding e.g. adhesion promotors, surfactants, anti-oxidants, wetting agents or blend with other polymers. We do offer an extensive knowledge and years of experience in a wide variety of industries.

Ethylene vinyl acetates are generally low toxic and safe to use within standard applications, such as waterbased appliance for food packaging products. In those applications, it’s even foodpackaging approved by EU and US law. One should always consult safety precautions and information provided in the SDS (safety datasheet) of the specific product.

Intercol is one of the leading fluid ethylene vinyl acetate adhesive manufacturers, for (food) packaging, paper converting, wood gluing and many special applications in industries like whitegoods assembly and building.

We are linked with various other acetate copolymer suppliers, in that way Intercol is able to mix and blend customer specific, unique solutions.

It is also possible to foam ethylene vinyl acetate, or the other way, to defoam it in your process if liked. Depending on your requirements, we can add specific foaming solutions, or even specific foam expanders. Maybe filling with e.g. clay is an interesting alternative.

For hot melt adhesives. the ethylene vinyl acetate melting point is an important specification, because these are supplied hot (generally 120-200C). Waterbased coatings may be heat reactived after drying.
