Intercol has an extensive range of hot melt adhesives for self adhesive closures on parcel boxes. Most of these corrugated carton boxes are made on inliners, and can be applied with a double self adhesive strip and a tear strip in one machine run, e.g. together with the folder gluer and inliner.
Intercol’s technical staff are known for their ability to create bespoke adhesive formulations for applications that are specifically tailored to exact requirements. With our extensive range of pre-formulated adhesive solutions, we are often able to recommend a shelf ready product. For various applications at corrugated carton and paper converters we have a range of adhesives.
For example on ‘four corner trays’ applications, we offer food grade SML adhesives, improving manufacturing efficiencies by allowing machinestops up to 30 minutes with no nozzle cleaning. Also we have special grades with a fast setting speed, preventing boxes springing open after the compression section. Our adhesives have multiple references at line speeds in excess of 24,000 trays per hour.
The introduction of Intercol adhesives usuall starts with taking a detailed brief, where the experience with our existing premium SML range of adhesives for the carton converting products is used as a reference. Depending on costumer requirements and practical exeperience we can narrow the product specifications depending on machine details such as speed, size, and other specifications such as peel adhesion, water resistancy, heat resistancy and adhesion to coated papers.
Intercol’s 900 range of adhesives are a standard range of adhesive for the inliner and folder gluing industries. Allowing hig line speeds from 11,000 to over 25,000 trays an hour. Even fo special applications such as trays for oven baking, frozen meals, fatty and dry substances.
