Intercol has an answer to the increasing interest in the recycling of pressure sensitive paper materials, such as pressure sensitive labels. Making repulpable paper and labels is a key factor for the circular economy to protect the environment. The manufacture of recycled paper has always to deal with problems like plastic, metal or PE-laminated cartons. Self adhesive tapes and labels (stickies) are a difficult problem to tackle for the manufacturers of recycled paper, mainly because many of these labels are made pressure sensitive, sticky, with hot melt adhesives. Intercol has now a special range of psa hot melt adhesives that are water soluble. With this new range of pressure-sensitive adhesives repulpable PSA packaging tapes and labels are better suited for the manufacture of recycled paper.
